Hi, my name is John Perry. I was a long-haul truck driver for over 27 years and have logged over 3 million miles behind the wheel of a big truck. I’ve driven all configurations of big-rigs including Triple Belly dumps weighing in at 131,000 lbs when fully loaded, I have also pulled Triple van trailers when I worked for a line-haul company in Nevada. I have had many years of experience with tractor-trailers with an 80,000 lb. gross limit where I drove for many long hours from sea to shining sea. New York city – 6 times with a 53 footer, that’s always fun, you should try it sometime, but beware, it’s against New York city law to have a 53′ trailer in town. That’s Black-Hat Truck’in! I’ve enjoyed my career and am now retired and have time to get the word out about speed governors in trucks.
